Needless to say, everyone knows how close O Levels is and is especially uptight about this exam that is closely linked with our futures. We all know that most of our papers will be marked overseas so it is important that we try our best to protect our interests in case of any accidents.

Teachers have told us that it is best that we use a black or dark blue pen so that our words can be seen clearly (to prevent the fading of ink with time or just in case drinks are accidentally spilt on our scripts). This has also been repeated on each of our Prelim Exam papers.

However, I have another point for everyone to take note. A lot of us use pens which has watery ink. Regardless of what pen you like to use and for whatever reason, I urge you to check if it is waterproof. If the pen you use is not waterproof, it is better to invest in ball-point pens. This is based on a personal experience whereby my notes underwent chromatography with rainwater. We do not know what might happen to our papers when they are abroad so we have to minimise all possible risks. It is better to be safe than sorry. We do not want to lose marks unnecessarily, especially when we are unable to see our scripts.

I hope everyone will breeze through O Levels unscathed and I wish everyone the best of luck for O Levels. Remember our aim to get on stage during O Levels results release because all of us achieved 5 or more distinctions. Maybe the class can even make it to school newsletter, haha. Work hard, jiayou, give it your best shot! If fate decrees so, may we continue being classmates in junior college.
